Ricky James wins 2008 WCPT Points Championship
Dalton Kuhn is declared the winner of the November 29 race at I-10 Speedway. This after an ongoing tech dispute regarding the #28 truck from Jeff Williams. The WCPT staff and the rules committee which is represented by 4 drivers. Declared one of the cylinderheads from the 28 truck illegal.
This makes Ricky James not only the 2008 WCPT points champion but also winner of the WCPT Rookie of the year award. Ricky James is also the WCPT- Toyota Speedway Champion for the 2008 season.
March 2009.
All WCPT scheduled races for the 2009 season are canceled. This is due to the unauthorized take over of the series by some of the racers! WCPT will be back in 2010 after things have been sorted out by the WCPT lawyers and possible legal actions have been taken.
